Media enquiries at TRW & Co Singapore

This newsroom page explains how journalists, editors, researchers and event organisers can make media enquiries to TRW & Co Singapore, what we can comment on, and how to cite our published insight. It also sets out how the firm’s name should be used.

TRW & Co is an international law firm headquartered in Dhaka, with a Singapore office at 21A Duxton Hill and a network that includes London, Dubai, China, Italy and Switzerland. The firm overview on our main site explains the wider structure.

We do not publish press releases about clients, deals or disputes on this page. Our public commentary takes the form of insight articles in the Perspective library, which explain Singapore legal and regulatory developments for businesses and institutions.

How to make a media enquiry

All media enquiries go to one address so that they reach the right person quickly and are logged consistently.

  1. Email info@trw.co. Put “Media enquiry” and your publication in the subject line. Our telephone line is +880 1779 127165, but email is the most reliable route for media requests.
  2. Describe the request. Tell us the topic, the questions you want answered, the format (written comment, interview, background briefing or event panel) and whether comments will be attributed.
  3. Give your deadline. State your deadline and time zone. We will tell you promptly if we cannot meet it, so that you can approach other sources.
  4. Conflict and confidentiality check. Before anyone comments, we check that the topic does not touch a client matter or create a conflict. Some requests will be declined for this reason without further explanation.
  5. Agreed spokesperson responds. If we can help, an authorised spokesperson will provide comment or arrange a conversation, and will confirm how they should be named and described.
Practical point

If your request concerns a specific company, dispute or transaction, we will almost certainly be unable to comment. We never confirm or deny whether a person or business is a client.

Personal data protection, AI governance, cybersecurity, trade marks and digital regulation, including how Singapore frameworks compare with other jurisdictions.

Background briefings and explainers

Many media enquiries to TRW & Co Singapore are not requests for a quote but for help understanding a new law before writing about it. We are happy to give unattributed background briefings on how a statute, regulator process or reform works, where our conflict checks allow. Tell us in advance whether you need attributable comment or background only, so the spokesperson can prepare accordingly and so that both sides are clear about how the conversation will be used.

Spokespeople policy

Only people authorised by the firm may speak to the media on its behalf. This protects clients and ensures that what is said is accurate and properly qualified.

Who may speak for the firm

Comment is given only by lawyers authorised for the relevant topic. Trainees, interns and support staff do not speak to the media about the firm or its work. If someone who is not authorised is approached, they will refer the request to info@trw.co. Spokespeople are identified by name and role at the time comment is given; we do not maintain a standing list for publication.

General comment, not legal advice

Media comment explains the law in general terms. It is not legal advice and should not be presented as advice to any reader about their own situation. Where a point depends on facts, our spokesperson will say so, and we ask that the qualification is kept in the published piece.

Attribution and quote review

We ask that quotes are attributed to the named spokesperson and to “TRW & Co”. Where time allows, we may ask to check the accuracy of technical statements of law before publication. We do not seek to control editorial content or headlines; the aim is only to avoid legal errors.

Singapore court work and qualifications

Please do not describe our spokespeople as Singapore-qualified or as appearing in the Singapore courts unless that has been confirmed for the individual concerned. The Singapore office advises on Singapore and cross-border matters and works alongside Singapore-qualified counsel where Singapore court or tribunal representation is required.

Rankings, awards and client lists

We do not supply client lists, deal values or matter details for media profiles. Information about recognition the firm has received appears only on the achievements page; please rely on that page rather than third-party summaries.

How to cite our insight articles

Journalists, students and researchers are welcome to quote short extracts from our Perspective articles, provided the extract is accurate, attributed and linked. Please cite in this form:

“Article title”, TRW & Co Singapore, Perspective, https://sg.trw.co/<article-slug>/ (accessed date).

Quote only what you need, keep any qualifications that change the meaning, and link to the article itself rather than to a copy. Our articles are general information written at a point in time; law and regulator guidance change, so check the date and the official sources the article cites.

Republishing a full article, translating it or adapting it for commercial use needs our written permission. The website terms of use explain the rules on copying and linking in more detail.

Using our name and brand

The firm’s name is TRW & Co, written with an ampersand and without a full stop after “Co”. For the Singapore office, use “TRW & Co Singapore” or “TRW & Co’s Singapore office”. Please avoid abbreviations or variants such as “TRW and Company” or “TRW Law”.

  • Do not use the firm’s name or logo in a way that suggests endorsement of a product, service, event or publication without written permission.
  • Logos and images should not be altered, recoloured or cropped; ask for an approved version at info@trw.co.
  • When describing the firm, “an international law firm headquartered in Dhaka, with an office in Singapore” is accurate.

Other enquiries

This page is for media enquiries only. If you need legal advice, please use the contact page; a media enquiry does not create a client relationship. Students interested in working with us should see the careers page, and information about how we handle personal data sent with an enquiry is in our privacy notice.

Frequently asked questions

01How quickly will you respond to a media enquiry?

We aim to reply promptly and to tell you early if we cannot help before your deadline, but we do not promise a fixed response time. Including your deadline, time zone and specific questions in the first email makes a quick answer much more likely. Requests that need a conflict check, such as those mentioning a named business, can take longer or may be declined.

02Can you comment on a case or deal involving a named company?

Generally not. We do not confirm or deny whether anyone is a client, and we do not comment on live disputes, investigations or transactions involving named parties. We can often explain the general legal framework, for example how a type of application or regulatory process works, without referring to the specific matter.

03Can I republish one of your articles?

You may quote short extracts with attribution and a link. Republishing a full article, translating it, or using it in commercial materials needs our written permission; email info@trw.co with details of where and how it would appear. Please check the article date, because law and regulator guidance change after publication.

04Do you issue press releases?

This page does not carry press releases about clients, deals or appointments. Our public commentary is published as insight articles in the Perspective library. Any recognition the firm has received appears on the achievements page, which is the authoritative source for that information.

05Can a spokesperson speak at our event or webinar?

Possibly. Send the event details, audience, format, date and topic to info@trw.co. Speaking requests go through the same conflict and authorisation checks as media enquiries, and any presentation is general information, not legal advice.
